Yuting completed a Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Clinical Optometry with Distinction from UNSW in 2022. Following her studies, she gained valuable experience in regional Wagga Wagga before seeking a greater scope of practice in a more rural setting. In early 2024, she joined our team here in Moree and has embraced new opportunities and enjoyed her time since.

Yuting is therapeutically endorsed and is able to prescribe medications to treat anterior eye infections, inflammations and collaborates closely with ophthalmologists to manage glaucoma and other eye diseases. Her passion for rural optometry is evident in her dedication to addressing the challenges faced by local communities and the impact that can be made. With keen interests in ocular disease and therapeutics, specialty contact lenses and children’s vision, she strives to educate patients on their eye health and tailor solutions to provide quality eye care. 

Beyond clinical practice, Yuting also enjoys mentoring students and is involved in organizations that support young optometrists and work towards advancing the optometry profession. She has also continued her pursuit in research and is working alongside her supervisors to publish their paper.

Outside of work you may find her going on long drives, exploring hiking trails, learning new instruments and experimenting with new hobbies.
